Recursive Process

Part 1A: Learning Outcome 1

My showcase paper that demonstrates best the recursive process of writing is the Literacy Analysis paper that is about the power of yet, mostly influenced by Carol Dweck’s TED Talk speech. I think the biggest part of writing as a recursive process and getting good feedback. For that draft, I got such good, critical feedback that really helped me continuously update my writing for multiple drafts. These drafts showcased my ability to continuously increase the flow of the paper and work on the organization so that is made the most sense for each topic I brought up. Plus, these drafts also changed greatly through each upgrade: I remember typing updates on that paper and continually discovering new things to help connect all my ideas and topics throughout it. Mix that with writing about something I really care about, and the outcome was a paper I’m really proud of. Writing for me is an exceptional way to express the fondness I possess for the writing process. I believe that English is the only system that can fully express our sentiments towards the real world. This class has not only expanded my critical thinking but also taught me how to properly express my thoughts and ideas.
